Maplewood's Adult Riding Camps have become legendary in the equestrian world and attract campers from across the country and Canada! Activities include riding, dining, educational seminars on conformation, bitting, judging and other horsemanship topics, secrets to success in the show ring, and much more.

Maplewood’s new Adult Horsemastership Program is for those who wish to immerse themselves in a more intensive horsemanship program. The five-day program is geared toward the serious adult equestrian to learn horse care and management. Participants can choose to be mounted or unmounted for the riding portion and may bring a horse or lease one of our well-trained mounts. The clinic is limited to 12 participants, so register early!


This fun and educational retreat is open to adults of all ages, riding abilities, professionals and amateurs alike. The common denominator attendees must have is that they want to learn and have a good time. Activities include but aren't limited to: Daily riding instruction in small groups of similar ability; trail rides, educational presentations from specialists in their fields; wining, dining (meals are included) and great fun!

The Spring and Fall Camp run Thursday at 4 p.m. through Sunday at 3 p.m., and you may bring your horse or lease one of our wonderful mounts. The total cost is $1,800 for either option. To ensure the highest levels of education and fun, there’s a strict eight-person limit.

A non-refundable deposit of $800 is due upon registration to secure your space.

The Adult Horsemastership Program runs Wednesday at 4 p.m. through Sunday at 3 p.m. with a Welcome BBQ and daily breakfast and lunch included. Activities include riding lessons, educational seminars/lectures on conformation, grooming, stable management, feed and nutrition, bits and bitting, tack and equipment, judging and many other horsemanship topics. The clinic is limited to 12 participants who will receive daily riding instruction from Julie Winkel in two groups of six of similar ability (attendees may bring their own horse, lease one of Maplewood’s mounts for the same price or choose to audit the riding portion). The week will also include educational presentations from other specialists in their fields.  The cost is $1,800 and a non-refundable deposit of $800 is due upon registration to secure your space.
